Join Adele Cubitt, Head of Strategy, Fresh Concept and Amelia Linzey, Technical Director, Beca, for a two-part presentation that explores best practice in Social Impact Assessment designs that respond to, avoid, remedy or mitigate adverse consequences. You will walk away with a heightened understanding of why the design of assessments is crucial to embedding positive social outcomes in the project design.

About the speakers:

 

Amelia Linzey, Technical Director, Beca

Amelia is a planner and geographer who has undertaken social impact assessments and SIA reviews for infrastructure projects, land use development and consenting. Recent project experience includes SIA reviews for Auckland Transport, NZ Transport Agency and Hutt City Council and Social Impact Assessments for a range of transport projects (e.g. City Rail Link, Waterview Connection) and Plan Changes (e.g. Drury South Plan Change and Ruakura Inland Port).

 

Adele Cubitt, Head of Strategy, Fresh Concept

Adele is Head of Strategy at Fresh Concept, a creative placemaking company who specalise in creating environments that bring people together (both onsite and online). Adele has always been motivated by achieving positive social change, starting out in refugee/human rights law before working on solutions that improve day-to-day living in the humanitarian and development space. 

With Fresh Concept, she takes the learnings from the developing world, along with the talent of her amazingly creative colleagues, to create spaces that people genuinely want to be in to ultimately grow communities - however you define them!
